Pausing for ~2 seconds when printing

What is the problem?

When I start to print always the printer pause by 1 or 2 seconds. Carry on, print more moves and the cycle repeat...

What did you already try to solve it?

All configurations from printer communication section. No sucess....

Have you tried running in safe mode?

Yes. No sucess.
Tried also disable almost all plugins...

Did running in safe mode solve the problem?

Nope

Systeminfo Bundle

You can download this in OctoPrint's System Information dialog ... no bundle, no support!)

PS: the issue starts after I did the update from 1.4.x to the latest version

I get this as well on my Ender 3 Max.
It only happens every so often, maybe once in every 6 prints.
It's happily printing away and somewhere during the print it just stops. Sits there doing nothing for 2-3 seconds and then continues printing until finished.
Most of the time it doesn't affect anything, but once in a while it will leave a blob depending on where it is and what it was doing at the time.
All this to say that I will be following this topic for any solutions.

Hello,

to get more information about the system and what is happening when those stops occurr you might:

  • enable serial.log
  • reproduce the issue (print until you experience pausings)
  • take a systeminfo bundle, download it to your pc and
  • upload it here
