What is the problem?
Now and again i get it flickering on the screen the best way to describe is when you pause a VHS tape
What did you already try to solve it?
changed ribbon cable with new ones
Logs (/var/log/webcamd.log, syslog, dmesg, ... no logs, no support)
no logs
Additional information about your setup (OctoPrint version, OctoPi version, ...)
PI4 8GB Version running latest update also had the same problem on the PI3 B model
Be specific with versions please! With the Pi4 8GB you need to run different versions to the latest stable build of OctoPi, so this is pretty useless.
It could be something in the camera is broken, since different cables and different Pi had the same problem. I would also look at where the cable is placed, since it can be susceptible to interference from things like power cables.

i am running the following
OctoPrint 1.4.2 Python 2.7.16 OctoPi 0.18.0
the cable is placed from the camera routed on the outside of the 3d printer straight in the pi where it has a case to keep it cool
Is it my octopi beta build or the official nightly?
If it's my build try the 0.18.1 beta or the nightly
its running 0.18.0 where is the link to upgrade it
Since you didn't say which 0.18.0 it is I assume it's my build.
