Printer offline after Halt Error

Hello.

I have started printing and during homing, I got the following errors:

On the printer itself: "Printer Homing Failed Printer Halted Please Reset Error"
Octoprint: Error: "Printer halted. kill() called!"

After those errors I shut down Octoprint via the options menu and restarted the printer, Octoprint could no longer connect to the 3d Printer. In the terminal getting the following messages:

"Connecting to port /dev/ttyUSB0, baudrate 115200
Changing monitoring state from "Opening serial connection" to "Connecting"
Connected to: Serial<id=0xaee61910, open=True>(port='/dev/ttyUSB0', baudrate=115200, bytesize=8, parity='N', stopbits=1, timeout=10.0, xonxoff=False, rtscts=False, dsrdtr=False), starting monitor
There was a timeout while trying to connect to the printer
Changing monitoring state from "Connecting" to "Offline"
Connection closed, closing down monitor"

Troubleshooting done:

  1. Shut down Octoprint and restarted the 3d printer.
  2. Restarted Octoprint.
  3. I tried to reconnect to the serial port via Octoprint option button.
  4. Disconnected and connected back the USB cable that connects Rasparaby Pi and the printer.
  5. Disconnected all power and waited for about 15 minutes.
  6. Tried to boot Octoprint in Save mode - issue the same with the same output in the terminal.

3D Printer: Ender 3 Neo 2.0.8.55.a, hardware 4.2.2, 2.0.8.2 2022-06-07

Any advice on how to resolve that issue would be highly appreciated!

That was interesting, but it seems like the issue was resolved as soon as I switched Baudrate from 115200 to Auto. Weirdly enough, after I selected "Auto" it did change the baudrate to 115200, but now OctoPrint is connected to the 3d Printer.

I will monitor that issue, and update the post if it fails.
