What is the problem? I installed Filament Sensor Simplified and for quite some time it worked as advertised. Most recently a couple of rolls of filament ago. Today, I ran out of filament and it failed to recognize it.
Went to plugins and did a test per the "Test Button" and it triggered properly. But then I noticed at the top under the "Board mode GPIO/BCM mode"
a notification of " Board mode has been set by third party/other plugin and is disabled " .
Obviously, the plugin won't work if it has been disabled.
What did you already try to solve it?
Tried searching here and github for a solution
It was noted in the setup image the GPIO is a drop down, but in mine, that is greyed out but still shows the proper setting as noted above.
So I guess I am looking for a way to set this in the plugin????

Have you tried running in safe mode?
Yes, but as expected all plugins are disabled
Did running in safe mode solve the problem?
Upon rebooting back into normal mode, the GPIO dropdown was enabled. Did a test both of triggered and detected and it worked for the test, BUT the aforementioned Notification of being disabled returned!
