Raspi camera missing after connecting usb camera

Hi all,
after connecting a usb camera, i no longer have access to the raspi cam v2
it doesn't show in ls /dev or ls /dev/v4l/by-id/
when i set the second camera up i followed the guide for multiple cameras in the community

What did you already try to solve it?

have completed a fresh install on octopi, raspi cam was working at this stage
connected usb camera, and followed the steps for multiple cameras again
