What is the problem?
Upon fresh install of octoprint, the server does not start. I can SSH into the pi, but no service is running. No log files are generated.
What did you already try to solve it?
I've tried clean installs using the raspberry Pi imager multiple times on 3 different SD Cards (16GB, 64GB and 128GB)
Have you tried running in safe mode?
Not possible. No service starts.
Did running in safe mode solve the problem?
N/A

I'm using a Pi 3b+. Had previously used this setup for years, but a failed update required me to reimage. Trying to install current version of octoprint (1.10.)

Hello @Scott_Hamel !
What is displayed when you login via SSH?
The raspberry pi login info (eg. Username and password). Performing the troubleshooting instructions yields no results for the octoprint process running. It just moves to the next command input line without displaying anything.
Also, fyi I did NOT change the default username
What exactly.
Maybe you picked the wrong image.
It's the "you may now open a server window" message, with an IP address.
Below it asks me to login with "octopi login" and then password.
But when going to the server address, I get the server has not started message.
I've tried directly downloading the image from octoprint (octopi 1.1.0 and octoprint 1.11.2 OR OctoPi 1.0.0 and Octoprint 1.11.0 -new cam stack), and writing to SD card via etcher...
I've also tried writing to the SD card using raspberry Pi imager and selecting the available octopi images for the pi 1b+.
None of these methods have worked.
I had another pi1b+ that I ran octoprint on for years now, but I borked the USB ports somehow, so switched to a clean board. Since then, I've had no luck.
Ok, Google Gemini has solved this for me! It turned out to be a broader cache issue. Clearing history and cache in all browsers I used has cleared the issue.
