What is the problem?
Can't configure....no instructions except for Octopi.

What did you already try to solve it?
There are no instructions so nothing.

I am trying to set up a camera in Octoprint NOT in Octopi. The USB webcam is plugged directly into my Pi. Do I have to set up something else to stream the webcam manually in order for Octoprint to see it or what? I have been scouring the internet and this forum for 2 days. The most I can find is links to old tutorials for options that appear to no longer be there (like the MakerGear option). If someone could point me to the right instructions, I would appreciate it.

this version is used by octopi

As a rule of thumb:

mjpeg streamer installation.pdf.g (153,3 KB)

to read remove the .g than you can open the pdf ...

There are guides for Linux, Windows and MacOS on the forum, also linked from octoprint.org/download

There is an optional step 'camera'
