I prefer SmartPlug/GPIO alternatives that can be controlled inside of OctoPrint.

i use a sonoff th10 it has a button on it to turn it off , or you can wire an additional switch to it .

ah, sonoff devices can typically be flashed with tasmota and I wrote an OctoPrint plugin for controlling that.
