Static IP Address with no ETC folder

I just did a fresh install and I'm missing the ETC folder and cannot set a static IP, I cannot do it via my router since im using a wifi extender and it doesnt work with the MAC address for some reason. Any one know how to do this?

Fresh install of what? OctoPi? Which version? Where did you get it from? We need more information. The image won't work without an /etc/ folder so it would be good to know how you worked out it didn't exist.

I followed the how to on octoprints website using Pi Imager.

You have to go to the root folder:

With

cd ..

you get one folder back. You must do this twice

Or you can do cd /etc
