The Classic "Offline after Error" or simply "Offline"

What is the problem?
My Ender 3 has been running fine for two years until last week and now this.

I get the message: State: Offline after error
No more candidates to test, and no working port/baudrate combination detected.

I also have the blue screen of death which I have added the firmware:
Ender-3 Pro_4.2.2_Firmware_Marlin2.0.1 - V1.0.1.bin

and still nothing. Its a mess!

What did you already try to solve it?
I have switched USB's per past similar instances and even change the power supply too.

Logs (syslog, dmesg, ... no logs, no support)
I hope this is the correct log, I'm novice when it comes to this stuff.

Do you use the tape on the 5V pin mod?
If yes is it possible that the tape has moved and is blocking a data pin?

I just removed the Kasa Smart W-Fi Plug Mini and it works now! Why would that prevent everything from working when I have had this type of setup for the past year?

I did read the article about the tape option and did that too.

Thanks for the suggestion and hope this helps someone else in the future as an option that Smart plugs might be blocking somehow the overall connection?
