What is the problem?

trying to edit octopi.txt via SSH to fix my web camera. just need a little help getting into the file. linux is not my main os so learning all the commands as I go.

What did you already try to solve it?

tried chmod but says operation no permitted.
tried nano octopi.txt but wont let me save because of it being read only.

Have you tried running in safe mode?

You need root permissions to edit that file, so try sudo nano octopi.txt.
