Update to 1.8.7 and Python 3.11.2

What is the problem?

Updated to OctoPrint 1.8.7 this morning. Had updated OctoPi to 1.0 couple of days ago. Also today updated Python to 3.11.2 using Python Installer for MacOS. Running MacOS 13.3. Have to installs of Octoprint and neither is show 3.11.2 as the running version of Python. Have rebooted MacOS and still showing Python 3.9.2 in Octoprint.

What did you already try to solve it?

If you had done a manual install process to get OctoPrint running on a Mac device you would have to re-create the steps to reinstall to update the venv that OctoPrint is using to have its python version updated.

If you are using Pi devices with your OctoPrint server side and not installed on the Mac directly then the python version that is being detected is what's installed on the pi, not the connecting Mac device.

Thank you for explanation. I do run on Pi Zero's. Will investigate installing directly to my MacBook.

you don't need to upgrade to 3.11 in reality, what is included in the octopi images is 3.9 and upgrading those is a major task.
