My Python was outdated, so I did a Backup and I Updated to the latest version. Now my WiFi does not connect from my garage. The doesn't show it getting an IP address. If I move the Raspberry PI closer to access point it connects.
What did you already try to solve it?
Installed the update a couple of times.
Have you tried running in safe mode?
No
Did running in safe mode solve the problem?
No
Systeminfo Bundle
Not sure if this is needed?
Additional information about your setup
Raspberry Pi 3 with a USB WiFi module, USB connected to PRUSA MK4.
The RPi 3 should have WiFi hardware on the main board so normally, a USB WiFi adapter isn't needed. Since the WiFi connects when moved closer to the access point, the correct driver is installed, but it may have changed versions. Let's collect some information and see it that is the case.
Hopefully, you updated to a new microSD card so the old one is still available. If so, then please do the following on both the old and new cards.
Create a systeminfo bundle and upload it.
cat /etc/os-release >os-release.txt and upload the results (use the </>, pre-formatted text)
Alas, I did not use a new microSD card. I will in the future.
But, I thought maybe the RPi 3 needed a monitor, keyboard and mouse. So I plugged them in and tried to reboot the RPi 3. RPi 3 froze at USB load point. Sorry I didn't get the correct text. But the long and short is, I reformated and loaded the Octoprint software again, but this time I did not restore my backup and it worked. My guess is something is not right with the backup. What's funny is it will restore and work once, but fail after that. Let me know if you want me to do something else? Thanks for the help. Richard
