I have carefully followed the instructions to update to the latest version of Octoprint. When I try to log on, it will not accept my old username/pw. I see there are instructions on how to SSH into the Raspi and correct this. I CAN log in, but I am unable to follow the directions as I have next to no knowledge of how/where to enter any of the commands
What did you already try to solve it?

Eric: Thanks for replying. I received the message within Octoprint that my version of Python was being deprecated, and I had to update. This is what I did:
Backed up my settings in Octoprint.
Used Raspberry Pi Imager to create a new image on the SD card.
When I boot the pi, and use my Windows web browser to navigate to the Pi's IP address, the "Please Log In" window comes up with my old username/password filled in. I then clicked on the "forgot password", and attempted to follow those in instructions which I could not follow.
I then found this site:
As I followed the instructions I found the following:
I could not find users.yaml to remove
In config.yaml there is no line that says firstRun: false
This is where I decided to ask for help. Thanks in advance if you can. Steve
What model Raspberry Pi do you have? Exactly which image did you use (version number is on the RPi Imager page where you select the image)?
After writing the image on the SD card and booting the RPi with that card, opening the RPi IP in your browser should respond with the Setup Wizard as shown below. On this page you click "Next" and then upload the backup you saved from the previous version.
If the RPi went directly to the "Please Log In" window, then something is obviously wrong. While the video you used is 5 years old, I just checked on my RPi and the instructions are still valid. Make sure you are looking in the hidden directory .octoprint, not the OctoPrint directory.
I'd suggest that you start over and re-image the SD card. When you boot the RPi, it will take a while to do all the OS first run stuff before the OctoPrint web server is available.
Thank you for the reply. I decided to just do one more clean install, and this time it worked! The one further problem I had was when I restored the backup I made before upgrading it started asking me for my old username/pw! This time I was able to resolve it by following the steps in the video, and it went back to the setup screen and all is well.
