Upgraded to Octoprint 1.9.0 from 1.8.7. - No webcam views

Camera model
raspberry pi model 3
What is the problem?
No webcam view after upgrade for 1.8.7 to 1.9
What did you already try to solve it?
examined and reloaded plugins
Logs (/var/log/webcamd.log, syslog, dmesg, ... no logs, no support)

Additional information about your setup (OctoPrint version, OctoPi version, ...)
1.9, 0.18
octoprint-systeminfo-20230530084602.zip (116.1 KB)

just to be sure - you got the new v3 webcam, right?

yep - - but I think I solved the issue(s):

  1. flashed the new opi/oprint (1.0/1.9) to SD card using the pi imager
  2. installed the new OS on pi 4B
  3. installed desktop on pi OS
  4. did a sudo update/install
  5. installed chromium browser
  6. launched oprint and did config settings
  7. installed plugins I was using in oprint 1.8.7

All seems to be working now - webcam works as expected.
This was alot of work but I appreciate the massive amount of work you and your team did to release these upgrades. I'm hoping that going thru this process and updating both opi and oprint will allow for a more seamless process as new challenges develop.
Many thanks for all for the stellar work you continue to do to keep this platform working and safe!!

FWIW - - on a Rasp PI 4B - changing the PI GPU setting to 512 from 128 DISABLES the webcam view in Octoprint, Been there done that, Resetting back to 128 and a reboot re-enables

that's an interesting tid bit of information. I've only ever doubled mine to 256 and never tried 512 before.
