USB camera not working

I cant get a usb camera working

Old Pi ( model-1 ?)
several usb-camera's tried
Octopi is working.
Connection = ok
Temp readings are OK

Stream is not working/ server is not running.
I've edited and added the -y .
( and restarted etc.)

The 'snapshot URL says 'not OK'

I've ssh' d my pi and outcome is:

lsusb
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 04fc:0561 Sunplus Technology Co., Ltd Flexcam 100

/var/log/webcamd.log gave me a ‘permission denied’ error
( Strange ???)

So: any help will do.
Octopi is working/ USB webcam is not.

I'm guessing you are typing that with nothing else. Try "cat /var/log/webcamd.log" for starters.

What other webcams do you have? There are so many and the support on Pi is all over the map.

i've to learn this lanquage.
When i started all we used was: Basics & C64 .

I've learned Arduino ( a little bit)
