Using Filament Runout to trigger PrintPause Event?

What is the problem?

I am not getting an alert when PrintPause happens through IFTTT plugin when the print pauses due to filament run out. I am having this issue on two instances. The first one is Neptune 3 Max and its factory stock filament detector. I am only using OctoPrint-IFTTT for that one. For the Ender 5 I am using a Pi based filament run out detector and Filament Sensor Simplified to monitor and react.

What did you already try to solve it?

I have tried using the Octoprint pause on the Ender 5 and the M600 pause as well. in the Filament Sensor Simplified plugin. I have monitored that the pause is reflected in the Octoprint interface. I have paused using the pause button in the software and also do not get an alert. I did try the Webhook IFTTT URL directly and that worked.

I would like to use IFTTT as I am already using it for other things in my house If there are other options, I am willing to try them as well.

Have you tried running in safe mode?

Yes

Did running in safe mode solve the problem?

No

The challenge is not browser or OS dependent for me.

If the filament runout is causing OctoPrint to show a status of 'Paused', then the issue probably does not lie around the filament runout itself, but the IFTTT plugin end of things. Especially if no alert is triggered when you manually pause the print by clicking the button either.

Could you share your configuration of the IFTTT plugin somehow? Maybe a screenshot? I have never used the plugin, so don't know of any specific tricks to get it to work.

Sure. I removed personal info. Not really a whole lot to do. I had put in PrinterPaused
