Hello friends,
I want to try octoprint with an old raspberry Pi (I think model b from 2012). As this raspi lacks onboard wifi, I want to use a usb adapter with Realtek 8191 Chipset. This thing should be compatible, but how do I activate it / install any drivers?

My recommendation: don't do it.
I also setup an old raspi with wifi and located my printer in the basement.
The response time of the UI was really bad. I thought it is the wifi connection, so I was playing arround with different Wifi-Sticks/Settings. Nothing works, also a direct conncetion via Ethernet doesn't help.
After switching to a Raspi3 solves all problems. Octoprint runs smoothly!
