Webcam causes browser to freeze

Camera model
Logitech C920
What is the problem?
When I set the camera to 1920x1080 30fps (a setting the camera is built to do) it causes the tab in Firefox that is running the Octoprint interface to lag out significantly and become almost non responsive. Ex. clicking a different tab will take 15-20 seconds to respond.

What did you already try to solve it?
Changed it down to 1280x720 20fps now it works great! While this is fine for most uses, some of my projects require an HD timelapse as part of the delivery.

Logs (/var/log/webcamd.log, syslog, dmesg, ... no logs, no support)
no webcamd.log existed when I went to look for it with the settings applied.

Additional information about your setup (OctoPrint version, OctoPi version, ...)
Latest Octopi & Octoprint. Raspberry Pi 4 4GB (heatsinks and active cooling)

Does it hang immediately upon loading the webcam window or after watching the cam for a few seconds/minutes?

What's your OS (that is running Firefox)?

It hangs (lags) with in seconds of the webcam feed loading, and the lag persists even when I switch away from the control tab.

Latest stable release Firefox, Windows 10 on a gaming computer.

going with the assumption too muchj jpeg data is being thrown across, set it to 1hz.

Try chromium.
I'm not a big fan of chrome but it runs much smoother when looking on webcam tabs.
