Webcam just needs to be restarted after boot

Camera model
Logitech C270

What is the problem?
I am using Mjpeg_streamer and with different options always when i first reboot my Octopi the Webcam is really pixeled and has mixed colors. I have then to run "systemctl restart webcamd" and everything is fine.

What did you already try to solve it?

A shot in the dark:
Does it work if no other usb device is connected to the pi before powering it up?

Hi, thanks for the answer. There should be no Hardware problem, because i have got an old OctoPi Image 0.15 with mjpeg and everything else and this one is working really fine. It should be a software problem. But i changed also the mjpeg-Streamer version from the old image, the new image and the repo. No chance.

I now added a small script which sleep 2 seconds, restart webcamd, sleep 2 secondes and do a second restart of webcamd. After this everything works fine.

Here is an explanation how to set up multiple camera's the right way:

I have also added to /etc/rc.local above the line exit 0:

sleep 15
systemctl restart webcamd

Next you can install this plugin:
