Note: my camera is working fine, outside of octopi. it was all working before but I had to update because octoprint kept complaining about my python version.

made sure the camera itself was working
After the rebuild, I can save the camera image to JPEG files and I even tested streaming with a standalone python program. octopi however steadfastly refuses to stream
Have you tried running in safe mode?
Not yet but I'm using the same plugins i used before the octoprint upgrade

Only additions are a fixed IP for the Ethernet and Tailscale for remote access, both of which i had on the previous octoprint build on this hardware.
