Will OctoPrint running on a Raspberry Pi work with an Arduino-based RAMPS board USB port?

Will a Raspberry Pi running OctoPrint work with an Arduino Mega-based 3D printer using a RAMPS board if connected through the Arduino Mega's USB port?

I haven’t built the 3D printer yet and am seeking advice. Specifically, is it as simple as plugging the Raspberry Pi into the Arduino Mega's USB port to control the printer via OctoPrint?

Hello @godoftech !

Can you please shorten the topic? It is meant for a short description, not for a complete novel. Particularly when it appears almost the same in the text.

I believe the answer is yes. A large majority of 3D printers use a RAMPS board.

Yes it will work fine, I've used that exact setup on one of my first printers (MakerFarm i3) that used a RAMPS board and arduino mega.
