Wyze cam not showing up

Camera model
Wyze V2 - using latest webcam firmware

What is the problem?
I cannot get the stream to show up in Octoprint

What did you already try to solve it?
Reflashed the webcam back to stock firmware, then back to the webcam firmware
Reflashed the octopi instal from scratch

Logs (/var/log/webcamd.log, syslog, dmesg, ... no logs, no support)
I don't know how to access the logs

Additional information about your setup (OctoPrint version, OctoPi version, ...)
Octoprint 1.4.0
OctoPi 0.17.0
On Raspberry Pi 4B Rev1.2 (2 gig)
No plugins have been installed since the refresh
Using a USB A-A cable https://www.cableleader.com/3ft-usb-3-0-a-male-to-a-male-cable-black.html

The Stream test shows a blank screen.
I followed the directions to edit octopi.txt using Atom

Terminal on the Pi responds to lsusb with:
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 1a86:7523 QinHeng Electronics HL-340 USB-Serial adapter
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 2109:3431 VIA Labs, Inc. Hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

I am pretty sure the camera is the Via Labs.

Basically I am out of idea, and can't figure out what's going on.

I did, I didn't see anything that looked like a solution.

FWIW I ended up replacing the camera and it worked perfectly. I suspect it was just something wrong with the hardware.
