This has been an extra stressful year so far, and thus it took me a while to get this release finalized and shipped. Thank you for your patience, and I’m glad I can finally present you all with OctoPrint 1.8.0!

We are updating our farmto 1.8.0 and noticed once more the message "Rate limit exceeded while checking for update, please try again later" after updating 6 printers. Is there an alternative way (e.g. offline update) to install the updates on 25 Raspberries?

GitHub only allows a certain number of requests per hour for anonymous API access. You are running into the limit, which can happen if you have either a lot of plugins, or more than one OctoPrint instance trying to update within the same time slot. You can either wait until your rate limit gets reset after an hour, or configure OctoPrint so it runs authenticated requests against GitHub. I plane to upgrade Octoprint. Is there a possibility that plugins working on 1.7.3, doesn't work on 1.8? Or by design, there should be no issue. I couldn't find any info about that then I assume there should be no issue.
My config: OctoPrint 1.7.3 - Python 3.7.3 - OctoPi 0.17.0

Nothing has been intentionally broken this release, and no one has reported any plugins that have broken.
