Octoprint with I3 Mini Serial connection issue

What is the problem?
Octoprint cannot auto-connect to the printer port. PSU Control automatically turns PSU off at bootup. (connected to pin 40).

What did you already try to solve it?

Disconnecting data cord and reconnecting solves connection issues till the next reboot.

Logs (octoprint.log, serial.log or output on terminal tab at a minimum, browser error console if UI issue ... no logs, no support!)

Any help here? dmesg does not even show any usb connection. Tried other cables but no luck this is usb A to usb b cable. Now will not recognize port at all.

If it's not showing in dmesg it's probably toast.

Does it work on a pc/laptop with something like pronterface?

The above was on my PC with putty. When you say pronterface are you referring to connecting to the Pi or the printer. I had control of the printer before with the USB it would just loose connection when the PSU was cycled. Now it can not find the usb at all. I connected it to the PC just to see if I could get some kind of return. I will try a different usb port on the back of the PC and see if that helps.

I mean using pronterface on your pc and connecting the printer to your pc.
If that doesn't work I gues there is something wrong with your printers mainboard :confused:

I will try that again but it worked last time I did it. maybe I fried it with the Pi connection. However the Pi did not recognize the computer when I connected it directly to the MB.
