Persistent failure to Connect thru OctoPi

Possibly damaged Pi or Arduino Mega 2560 serial port(s) as can no longer connect OctoPi web interface with Pi at reachable URL on /dev/ttyAM0 and Ramps 1.4 with Arduino Mega 2560 with Marlin installed. Using VScode Used to work Fine but now tearing my hair out. No help from Google Search or Gemini AI**

What did you already try to solve it?

  1. Changed Pi4 for Pi5 and tested with serial communications between Pi (python) and Arduino Mega 2560 (arduino sketch) and USB cable to eliminate defects on /dev/ttyACM0. Synchronous bidirectional communication

  2. Uploaded from Arduino IDE from laptop IDE to Arduino on COM7 using USB Cable. Perfect

  3. Changed ONLY Motherboard ,Serial_Port = -1 and baudrate in Configuration.h but Autobuild BUILD defaults to COM3 with success but Upload fails with advrdude init errors.

Have you tried running in safe mode?

YES

Did running in safe mode solve the problem?
