What is the problem?
Running my ender 3 pro with octopi has worked for years.
Today, I said Yes to the update Octoprint question and now I get
communication errors after printing for awhile and printer Halts.
What did you already try to solve it?
Reboots and restarting multiple times.
Have you tried running in safe mode?
No
Did running in safe mode solve the problem?
I'll try
Systeminfo Bundle
You can download this in OctoPrint's System Information dialog ... no bundle, no support!)

Hello @hogwell !
That would be quite handy.
I changed my USB cable to the Ender 3 Pro and the errors went away.
So it was not a software issue at all.

It is slightly to do with the update but its the enders firmware power settings in the flash..
I won't go into crazy offset info, but basic explanation as im a pcb tech and work selling enders (until we changed):
The pi3b especially, has a fight with the connection on the usb line to do with 5v+ voltage directions..
As the Pi3 is separately powered, as is the printer, you eliminate the 5v flow completely..
There for use a usb cable and simply cut the red 5v line in the usb cable... (keep the black, greg and white connected). youll never have a fail again
Especially if youve never had a connection with v3 s and k series and older Pi. Do this trick!
