USB Hub for RPi Zero 1/2 for Camera

Hello, I came for an advice. I am new to Octoprint and RPi in general.

Currently I am using the unsupported Zero WH. It works flawlessly unless I want to use a camera. I tried connecting an Vention USB OTG Hub to it and I get the "No more candidates to test, and no working port/baudrate combination detected" message.

What I'd like to try is to get the "Waveshare 4 Port USB HUB HAT for RPi". I'd like to get it, so I can try to connect the USB camera. My only concern is, that the printer would be connected through this HUB and not directly to the Pi. So I would say there is a small chance I would get the same error as using the Vention HUB.

Any thoughts on my thinking? Or has anybody tried before what I am trying to do here? Other RPis are out of the question since I can't get my hands on them currently. I will be only getting the Zero 2, which is stocked and supported.

Thank you for reading my post.

EDIT: It is working like I intended

Why don't you just use a Pi Cam?

Got a spare camera to use, and also I would prefere an USB connection.

Did you try the 5V pin tape mod on the printers usb cable?

Maybe the printer + the cam are drawing too much power and that's why the hub doesn't work.

Sadly it did not help.
