Systeminfo Bundle

You can download this in OctoPrint's System Information dialog ... no bundle, no support!)

Yesterday I installed Octoprint on a Raspberry and finally wanted to use the system. Unfortunately, I can't establish a connection from the Raspberry to the printer - it's never worked before.

I have no idea how to narrow down the cause of the error or what I could do to make octoprint work with my printer.

Hello @ronmin !

Please do so.

And please attach the systeminfo bundle to your next post.

Hello

I had to look for the SystemInfo first - I didn't know it yet

octoprint-systeminfo-20241106150037.zip (97.3 KB)

I I also figured out the safe mode thing - thanks!

I googled "my printer" and didn't find anything useful about the make and model of "your printer". Please enlighten us with some details.

What we can see from your bundle is that your Raspberry Pi 3B is suffering from a power issue. This should be fixed. Your printer may also be drawing power through the USB port and you may need to isolate it. See this topic or search this forum for "backpowering".

Really need to know the printer. I saw "skip 0" which I am not aware of being used in Marlin firmware. Off hand since it never accepts line 1, it could be it doesn't want checksums.....

Hello

It's a Renkforce RF2000. This one isn't that common.

I found a German group and researched the forum there. I haven't found anything helpful so far, but I've created a post to ask whether anyone has been able to connect this printer to Octoprint.

I just wanted to test whether I can control the printer with a normal USB cable, but I haven't yet found out how to do that in Cura if the printer doesn't appear in the list of known printers.

Well, it's going to be a long story until I get it to work.

As soon as I know something new and have some success, I'll get back to you.

Thank you very much - Ron

In the Settings->Serial Connection->Firmware&Protocol you can turn off checksums to test.
