3D Printer USB-Serial Problems

Please Help. I have two Creality Ender 3 S1 Pro's that I purchased last month. Been playing around with one of them which is working fine. I have a Raspberry Pi running Octoprint (Octopi) and everything is working fine. So I decided to hook up the second one which does not connect to Octopi due to a USB problem. I've provided the output of 'lsusb' before and after plugging in the working printer and then show the successful connection as shown in /var/log/syslog. I then plug in the second printer that does not connect as shown with a tail of /var/log/syslog file. Any ideas/suggestions?

Thanks very much!

Creality strikes again. Their printers are 1) very susceptible to EMI and 2) generate a lot of EMI.

I'd suggest that you swap the physical locations of the two printers and see if you have a problem printer or a problem location. Next, I'd look at the routing of wires inside both printers and make sure that the problem printer wiring is the same as the working wiring. In particular, check that the way the wires are routed is the same.

This forum is full of threads on Creality communication issues with quite a few suggested fixes and some successful fixes. Do a little searching and you should find them.
