Octolapse installation fails (Pillow)

What is the problem?

I'm trying to install the Octolapse on my Raspberry 3B+. The installations stucks at "Building wheel for pillow" and the Rpi just hangs. )Octoprint 1.4.0

I am using the image provided by OctoPrint

What did you already try to solve it?

Tried to install some dependencies. Didn't work out.

Logs (octoprint.log, serial.log or output on terminal tab at a minimum, browser error console if UI issue ... no logs, no support!)

pip install pillow

It look like it has a segmentation fault. That's sometimes caused by memory-related errors.

Try this one as a requirement for installing pillow.

sudo apt-get install libjpeg-dev

It's already installed.

Read the link of requirements. If necessary, install each using sudo apt-get install ...

Tried installing many packages, but it still fails.
I used the official and latest OctoPrint image. Why doesn't it work?
Now there's no big exception, it fails with "Illegal instruction" or "Segmentation fault" (and ofc kernel messages)

@FormerLurker any ideas?

@T1Il, did you update pip first? Also, try installing with the --no-cache-dir flag

pip install pillow --no-cache-dir

If that doesn't work (updating pip, then installing with --no-cache-dir) let me know and I'll dig through the octolapse issues. I'm about to turn in for today though, but I will get around to it.

There's no such thing as OctoPrint 0.3.4.
