Connecting to Printer failed but not failed

After an update to the latest version I can not connect to my Anet A8 printer any more via browser gui.

With the use of the telegram app / plugin I can connect, but nothing more.

The Browser-GUI shows me "Disconnect" all the time - independent if connected/disconnect via telegram!

what can I do? (the installation is nearly brand new because of a sd card death after updating).

Sadly you deleted the template when opened this thread.
So help could take a while because we need to guess what maybe could be wrong.
So many important informations are missing.

Which template?
The one prefilled on adding a new question in the input field?
I have no camera yet, i wrote about the version "latest version".
There are no suitable logs as far as I can see.

What else did you need to help me?

When you open a thread in Get Help, the initial post is filled with this template:

**What is the problem?**

**What did you already try to solve it?**

**Logs** (`octoprint.log`, `serial.log` or output on terminal tab *at a minimum*, browser error console if UI issue ... **no logs, no support!**)

**Additional information about your setup** (OctoPrint version, OctoPi version, printer, firmware, browser, operating system, ... **as much data as possible**)

As I did as I thought.

Most important are the log files that are asked for

@FlyingEaglE
First, text in blue is a link and when you click on it, valuable instructions will magically appear.

Second, "latest" is not a version number.

Third, we know you have an "Anet A8 printer", a "browser", and "the telegram app". Beyond that we know nothing, we will assume you have OctoPrint (of unknown origin) because you found these forums but we don't know its version number, what it is hosted on (type, model, version, etc.).

Last, here's a few more links for you to study:

octoprint.log after reloading the page and clicking on the connect-button that always shows "disconnecting".

I noticed the small icon above that show under-voltage ... I have never seen it before ... it is blinking.
The power-supply is connected to a USB-Port with 3.5A !!!
But I can not imagine that this is the problem, because I can connect via telegram plugin.

Printer Firmware: Marlin 1.1.9 (need newer HEX but can not compile for some reasons)

If the icon is blinking it means your pi is actively throttled due to undervoltage. No matter whether your power supply says it's up to specs, it isn't. Your pi is not getting enough juice and that may well be the reason for your issues. Get it a power supply that is up to spec.

Once you get the power supply issue solved, we will need a serial.log. Enable it, attempt to connect to the printer, and then post the log file.

It is possible that your printer is drawing power from its USB connection. See https://community.octoprint.org/t/put-tape-on-the-5v-pin-why-and-how/13574 to fix that.

You have a fair number of plugins so should try to connect in safe mode as well.

but the ui do not change to online-mode!

The Pi worked with a 2A ps for aprox. 2 years, than after a year on pause later - but after a update - it wont?

Maybe there is a problem with the cable

The RPi probably "worked" in blissful ignorance. If there were random failures, they were dismissed (or missed).

Recent OS updates added the power check and now there are visible indicators and it can be monitored programmatically.

I think I found the power thief ... HDMI ... this wasn't connected before and by now for debug only ... once removed the icon is quiet ... and it is connecting via gui ... if this was the real issue than a message with a hint would be more then nice.

The undervoltage icon on click literally links you to an FAQ entry that tells you that undervoltage can cause these exact kind of problems.
